ABOUT DOUBLE PLAY ACADEMY
Double Play Academy is the vehicle through which Steve Lombardozzi utilizes his vast experience to bring a very unique perspective to youth baseball instruction. Steve’s experience spans all levels of the game from playing and coaching in Youth Leagues to winning a World Championship. He has a passion for the game, a dedication to excellence, and a joy for working with children. He's now combining his unique experiences and innate talent for teaching to provide instruction in a number of different venues. From lessons and clinics to camps and team training, players will come away with new knowledge, strategies, drill packages and skills that are not available elsewhere.
Steve Jr. who in September of 2011 at the age of 22 years old was promoted to the Major Leagues with the Washington Nationals. He will also be involved with instruction from time to time over the winter months. Steve & Steve Jr are only the 192nd Father & Son pair to ever have played in the Major Leagues.
