ADVANCED TRAVEL PLAYER INFIELD CAMP
At Haymarket Sportsplex
The Advanced Travel Player Infield Program is led by former 1987 World Champion Minnesota Twin Steve Lombardozzi and his son Steve Jr of the Washington Nationals Organization.
Steve Lombardozzi utilizes his vast experience to bring a very unique perspective to amateur baseball instruction. Steve’s experience spans all 
levels of the game from playing and coaching in Youth Leagues to winning a World Championship. He has a passion for the game, a dedication to excellence, and a joy for working with young players. Steve also possesses a true gift for being able to break down the most complex moves of the game and convey them to his students in a way that makes them easy to comprehend and apply; participants are ensured to come away with new knowledge and a vastly improved skill level.
Because he operates a very efficient lesson, students will receive an extensive amount of practice and a maximum number of repetitions in each and every session. Whether you are the parent of a young travel caliber player wanting to ingrain that perfect muscle memory early or an advanced high school aged travel player looking to fine tune his game, this program is custom designed for you!
Steve Jr. signed a professional contract in 2008 with the Washington Nationals and just completed a very successful third season with the 
organization in 2010. In 2009 he was selected to the South Atlantic League All Star Team where he led the Hagerstown Suns in numerous offensive and defensive statistical categories. In addition he posted the 5th highest batting average in the league along with finishing with the highest fielding percentage of all 16 teams second basemen. He fell only one error short of breaking the 106 year old league record for the highest single season fielding percentage by a second baseman. In 2010 he started the season in high A ball, was promted to AA in Harrisburg, PA and completed his year in the prestegious Arizona Fall League where he led his team to a Championhip while being awarded the Leagues highly regarded Sportsman of the Year Award.
Camp: This is a special opportunity to learn the pro skill set necessary of a player who competes’ successfully on the ultimate pressure packed stage of Major League Baseball. The curriculum is designed for the advanced travel player of 10 to 18 years old. Steve GUARUNTEES that each player will be grouped with other player of similar age and skill level. A 4:1 ratio will be maintained to ensure personal, hands-on instruction.

A session will consist of 1 hour of training each week for 5 Weeks.

Total cost per 5-week session: $250
Registration & Payment:
1. Read completely through steps 2 & 3 to familiarize yourself with the registration process before clicking on the actual registration link at the bottom of the page.
2. The link will take you to the Haymarket Sportsplex / BookingPlus system where the first step you'll take is to create a "new to BookingsPlus" account for your family at the Sportsplex. It's important to note that as a Parent who intends to register your son for the clinic, you must first register yourself as a user of the Haymarket Sportsplex / BookingPlus system. After you have done so, the system will allow you to book your son as a guest participant and enter all of his information.
3. Then register the player for the clinic by clicking on the below selections:
A. "Book into a camp, clinic, party, rental"
B. Under "Select a Specific Category" pull down menu choose "Lombardozzi / Double Play Academy Camps"
C. Then click "Next Step" you do not have to select a "date" or "time" range.
D. Then click on the "Advanced Travel Infield Camp" session that you would like to participate in.
E. Follow the remaining online directions to complete the registration and submit payment. An email will follow to confirm that you have successfully registered.
